Life is Art!
Everything I touch is a piece of art because life is art. When I
began painting I felt like a river of creativity was flooding
through me and it had to be released. My paintings are mostly
pastels, a medium I was drawn to naturally. Thousands of crystals
of pure color pigment comprise pastels so that a painting is a
crystal field reflecting light.
I have also been compelled to free sculpt wood. I am surrounded
by ancient forests that hold more species of tree that anywhere in
the U.S. Wood is a very feminine medium with it's continuous
grain curves and inherent strength and flexibility. I harvest on
own wood by searching these forests and taking only trees that
have died naturally.
